The JAC User Group has commissioned Conventus to run our past three events (2003, 2005, 2007). Our experience of working with Conventus has been excellent. We are now planning our 2009 event and will be commissioning Conventus to manage it.
Over the last six years Conventus and Binley's have worked together to produce and run a series of three NHS learning programmes which focus on structure, procurement and marketing. This series, which we now run twice a year, is aimed to inform and educate a commercial audience on how to forge and maintain a successful working relationship with the NHS. Whilst the focus of each event remains the same, the programme and issues addressed change according to what is the 'hot topic of the day'. Each time, Conventus have excelled in making sure that the right speakers are on the panel to deliver the programme effectively and ensure that the delegates get 'real' value for money from the events. Our excellent delegate feedback and numerous repeat bookings are testament to this. The success of these events, and our exceptional working relationship with Conventus, has led us to further develop our offering. As well as a full year of NHS learning programmes we have now introduced workshops into our portfolio. These originated from an idea proposed by Conventus where we take a key area or issue and run an in-depth afternoon workshop addressing its impact on suppliers and service providers.
As publishers of an electronic newsletter in health nhsManagers.net, has plenty of contacts and a very wide mailing opportunity. What we don't have is experience in running a conference. We outsourced the back-office and order fulfilment of our first conference to Conventus. They are experienced, reassuring and a delight to work with. The event, at the Institute of Directors London, went flawlessly. We were particularly pleased with how Conventus staff handled our high profile speakers and audience of senior NHS staff. We don't need a conference capacity - we have Conventus!
May I take the opportunity of thanking you and your team for running the 'High Impact Changes for GUM' conference. By designing and running a conference in partnership with us, we were saved the considerable time and logistical challenges of trying to run our own national event. Add to that your experience, expertise, and the existing contacts you have in this field, and this truly was a very constructive partnership.
